The SC IAWP Chapter was named the best IAWP chapter in the country for the fourth straight year. The announcement was made at the IAWP International Conference held in Boise, Idaho
June 4-7.
The chapter received perfect scores in Educational Activities, Professional Practices, and Communication. This is the tenth year in a row that the chapter’s communications program and newsletter have been
named the best. Also, the chapter received four International awards:

Individual Award of Merit for
Clark Newsom of the Communications Department
·
Group Award of Merit for the
Coastal Workforce Center
·
Individual Unemployment Insurance
Award for Dianna Milhollin (SC’s representative in the Atlanta Regional Office)
·
Second Place One-Stop
of the Year for the Coastal Workforce Center
The #1 ranking is based on 12 areas and awards. South Carolina received 427 out of a possible 495 points.
Second and third places were close with North Carolina coming in second with 333 points
and then Idaho with 326 points.
IAWP Chapter President
Robin McManus accepted many of the awards including the #1 Chapter Award at the final awards banquet. President McManus said
that the chapter could not have been this successful without the support of South Carolina Employment Security Commission
management.
